Jim Nekos, is founder and CEO of Edge Technology Group. Now in its 12th year, Edge has become partner to over 300 funds delivering only the highest caliber of talent with in-depth industry knowledge, expertise and a passion for excellence in the areas of IT strategy, cybersecurity, and cloud services. With over 25 years of experience in the securities industry, Jim has held senior management positions at Amaranth Group, Morgan Stanley Prime Brokerage and PB Execution, Barclays Capital Prime Brokerage, and Daiwa Securities. Synthesizing a business and technology acumen, he has established a strong reputation for aligning strategic and tactical solutions for the quickly developing mission-critical businesses that have depended on him. Most notably as a software pioneer of Japanese FIX execution (1997), Jim delivered a hybrid of the FIX trading protocol to permit US-based funds with the first-ever direct market access to Tokyo and Osaka. He holds a BS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a triple concentration in Math, Computer Science and Physics.

John Pecoraro, has over 20 years of experience architecting mission critical network infrastructure around the world for firms including Instinet, the clients of Instinet and the Amaranth Group. John’s development of scalable, secure and resilient infrastructure for Edge data centers, and those of our clients is core to our success and stability. Further expertise in security strategy, protocol analysis, and advanced router configuration has earned John a reputation among carriers and clients alike. John manages the day to day Operations at Edge, including guiding and supporting the Help Desk and Engineering teams, taking a personal role in every client on boarding effort and all project implementations.
Chief Operating Officer
Tom Woollard is Managing Director and Head of Europe, and was responsible for launching the UK operation in 2011. Tom has seen the regional operation extend throughout continental Europe, and is responsible for the firm’s day to day operations, business development, and growth strategy. With over 15 years experience at senior management level within the Finance Sector, Tom was providing technology services at the CTO level to the Hedge Fund and Alternative Investment industry prior to leading the regional group efforts. With a unique blend of business acumen, industry specific knowledge, and hands on systematic approach, Tom has successfully extended the Edge Technology Group brand to the UK and Europe, establishing Edge Technology Group as the premier provider in the community, and extending a single entity mind-set and work ethos to each and every client.
Managing Director, Head of Europe
As Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific for Edge Technology Group, Emily Randall oversees the region’s day-to-day operations, business development, and growth strategy. Emily joined the Edge team in 2015 to expand the Singapore office and establish the Hong Kong office. Under her leadership, Edge has quickly distinguished itself as the premier IT partner for Asia-based hedge funds, with over thirty employees supporting many of the largest funds in the region. Based in Hong Kong since 2010, Emily uses her local expertise and understanding of regional requirements to ensure the Edge platform consistently meets the unique needs of each of her clients.
Before joining Edge, Emily held several leadership roles with Eze Software Group and served as COO for Messer Financial Software. Emily graduated from Tufts University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science.
Managing Director, Head of Asia Pacific
Sean heads up Strategy and Finance as Chief Financial Officer. With corporate experience backed by an earlier career within a global strategy consulting firm, Sean has worked with numerous executive leaders on organic growth strategies, M&A, and performance improvement. Mr. Bennett has most notably been the Chief Strategy Officer for OneMain Financial where he lead the divestiture of the business and development of its digital strategy. Previously, Sean was Managing Director, Head of Strategy at Citigroup’s Citi Holdings unit where he focused on divesting over $700B in non-core assets (including 35+ operating businesses) to reduce risk and optimize value. Sean received his undergraduate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and his Masters in Engineering and MBA from Columbia University.
